Advanced Account Schedules Boot Camp
Level up on what you already know about account schedules in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central in this active hands-on workshop. Bring your trial balance and recent financials with you to class, because we are going to dig in and show you how to map what you have to your balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows and then design and set up your financial statements in account schedules.
If you’ve never been able to set aside the time to finally build your financial statements, come to this class to get the dedicated time and support needed to check this off your list.
Spend Day 1 getting started with mapping your trial balance and applying the fundamental concepts to design and build your own basic financial statements. We’ll also put together all the most commonly used column layouts to view the schedules you’ve built in different ways.
Spend Day 2 layering in your budgets and dimensions to those reports and building your Excel shell to easily produce your financial statements each month by only refreshing the numbers. We’ll spend plenty of time learning how to build the shell and maintain it when changes happen.
Spend Day 3 to learn about other advanced topics like using account schedules in consolidations, using rapidstart to populate account schedules to multiple companies, account schedules with KPI web services and the complementary tool to account schedules: analysis reports and analysis by dimensions.
Prerequisites: Student should have already taken the Account Schedules course or attended Controller’s Boot Camp before taking this class.
While we do provide each student with their own hands-on learning environment, each student is encouraged to do most of the work in their own company’s account schedules. We also recommend students bring a travel monitor to have a second screen when working on their laptops.
Bring to Class in Excel:
Current Financial Statements including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
Current Trial Balance run for the same ending date as the current financial statements.
Any other internal financial reports that are frequently used.
